| About Lewis Blakeney | ||
| Lew is a board Certified Business Advisor, and has worked with the Washington State Small Business Development Center Network since 2000, serving all of Okanogan County. His office is co-located with the Economic Alliance of Okanogan County. He earned a MBA degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS degree in Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He is also a Certified Instructor for the NxLevel Course for Entrepreneurs and instructs a 10-week course, "Indianpreneurship, A Native American Journey into Business". In Fall 2005, Lew traveled to Kazakhstan in central Asia and volunteered as a guest faculty member at the Kazak-American Free University. Lew was recognized for his commitment and achievements by the Association of Small Business Development Centers by receiving the Washington State Star Award for 2005. Prior business experience: Owned and operated a precision plastics injection molding manufacturing business in the Seattle area for 13 years. Experience as Treasurer/Secretary for over 8 years with a corporation having over $100 million in revenues and nation-wide subsidiary operations. Experience with business acquisitions, SEC filings, bank loans, retirement plans and employee benefits insurance programs. He started his business career as a computer marketing representative for the IBM Corp. Military Service: Captain in US Army Ordnance Corps with 2 yrs active duty and 2 yrs. active reserve duty. Areas of Specialization: Business plans and cash flow projections, Small business start-ups, Business acquisitions and sale of businesses, Financial analysis and reporting, Manufacturing, Marketing, Operations and staffing.
