| Rick joined the SBDC as a Certified Business Advisor in 1997. Prior to that Rick had a wide range of experience in the business world. He worked for a number of years as a "turn around specialist" for a large corporation. He was the founding partner of one of the largest privately owned manufacturing companies of its kind, in this area, which He and his partner took from a simple dream to a multi million dollar company. After selling the company, Rick took a couple of years off to research leading-edge business models and management strategies, as well as play a little golf. Rick holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Psychology specializing in employee development, from the University of Oregon and a Master’s Degree in Business (MBA) also from the University of Oregon. He has been certified by the National Business Forms Association as a Business Consultant and by the WSBDC as a business Advisor.
